Nowadays, it is very hard to find jobs. Many people are unemployed and yet there are only few job openings available. The competition among jobseekers is rigid especially now that the country is facing an economic downturn.
Job security is the assurance that an employee will stay on the job for a certain period of time. This is usually protected by a contract, collective bargaining agreement, or labour laws that would prevent sudden and unnecessary termination, layoff and lockouts.
If you have a secured job, then there is a great chance for you to develop a career. It gives you a sense of personal satisfaction. It makes your career path stable further making it easy for you to achieve your dreams. Having a stable career will also promote personal growth and increases your self esteem.
A secured job would also give you a peace of mind. It makes you manage your activities effectively. It assures you that you will be able to pay your bills and expenses on time. It makes it easy for you to plan out your future like investments, trips and many others.
Settling down and making your own family is also easy if you already have stable job s ince you will now be able to provide them with their needs. Starting up a family is costly, the more it grows the bigger your expenses get.
In summary, job security has a big impact on your financial stability. If you are one of those who complain that you don’t like your job then think again because many people are struggling just to find a decent, stable job. Just recently in the protest at Wall Street which started on September 17, some demonstrators made slogans about increasing jobs rather than creating war. So instead of complaining just be thankful that you are not one of those unemployed citizens of the country.
